Destiny Confirms The End On Two Platforms

Bungie‘s Destiny launched in September 2014, but from August, two out of the four initial platforms will be left behind!

The next expansion, called Rise of Iron, will only be available on the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One, so the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 are going to be slowly left behind in the dust. In fact, from August 16, the „Legacy consoles” will not receive any more major updates. (Electronic Arts also calls the prev-gen versions of FIFA games Legacy Editions – they receive just minor upgrades with the rosters switched to an up-to-date version.)

Sure, you can still play Destiny on the PS3 or the X360, but you won’t be able to buy Argentum, Iron Banner and Judgement of Osiris will disappear, and there will also be other limitations for the prev-gen Destiny players. From August 16, the Account Import process will become available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Consoles. From this date forward, progression will no longer be shared between console generations within the same console family.

This move was expected. Don’t be surprised if Destiny 2 is only developed for PS4 and X1!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
