We’ve known that the medieval RPG will get a PlayStation 4/Xbox One port, but not the exact release date. However, Deep Silver told us everything.
TaleWords, who originally launched Mount & Blade: Warband in January 2010 on PC as a standalone expansion to Mount & Blade, will put out the PS4/X1 port on September 16 for 20 euros in a physical version as well. This isn’t Q2 2016, to be honest, but at least the developers are almost ready with the port work, and we’re just a month away from the release.
Real time combat, online skirmishes with up to thirty-two players, medieval open world, and (obviously) RPG elements describe Mount & Blade: Warband.
It looks like a lot of RPGs are getting console ports recently. In some cases, it makes sense (Lichdom: Battlemage, which got its frame rate issues patched already), or in other cases, it feels pointless (ArcaniA). Which category will Warband fall in? We’ll see in a month – the original PC version got great reviews six years ago.
