Star Trek‘s player base crossed into the seven-digit territory on Sony’s and Microsoft’s console.
Although Star Trek Online launched in September on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Cryptic Studios – the developers of the MMO – happily announced that in less than two months, their game now has over one million players total on the two consoles.
On an infographic, they revealed a few details. 59% of the players chose the Commander position, while 22% went for Engineer and 19% picked the Science officer class. 752 thousand players (68%) chose Starfleet’s faction, 20% (220 thousand) selected Klingon, and 12% (132 thousand) decided to enter the war as a Romulan.
The most-used ships on PS4 were the Negh’Var Heavy Battlecruiser, the Malem Light Warbird, and the Tactical Escort. On Xbox One, the most popular ships were the Negh’Var Heavy Battlecruiser, the Scimitar Dreadnaught, and the Eclipse Intel Cruiser.
It’s interesting to see Star Trek Online be successful six years after the PC launch…
