Infinite Warfare + Windows 10 = “It’s Activision’s fault,” says Microsoft

The Redmond-based Microsoft blames Activision for the issue between the new Call of Duty and the new Windows operating system.

Activision seems to give up hope on PC regarding Call of Duty. (No wonder, even Farming Simulator 17 has more users than Infinite Warfare – we took the screenshot from Steamcharts! [here]) Limiting the Windows Store edition of the game only to other Store players and no Steam users just added fuel to the fire.

Previously, we thought it might be an issue, but according to Windows Central, Activision decided about this situation. Microsoft supports cross-play if the partners are willing to open up.

Microsoft doesn’t want to look like the bad guy in this scenario, and they decided to refund players if they bought the game on the Windows Store. On Motherboard, a refunded user talked about how there were only TWO other players in a popular deathmatch list.

UK-based GFK also states that Infinite Warfare had a 48.4% weaker launch than Black Ops III. Is Activision‘s flagship franchise slowing down?
