For football fans, spending 40-50 dollars (or more, especially on consoles) isn’t always necessary to access a new game as soon as possible.
No joke; we are talking about a free-to-play game, whose original hasn’t even been out for a half a year. Konami made a free version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2017, similar to last year’s PES 2016. The focus is on eSports altogether – Konami doesn’t want to fully leave the console gaming market behind, seeing how they also work on Metal Gear Survive as well.
The Trial Edition will offer you nine teams (Arsenal, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Germany, France, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Corinthians, Flamengo), plus the Skills mode to learn the basics. There is a minor twist to this version of the game, though: to access the online PES Leagues mode, you will have to pay.
PES League opens registrations from December, and the finals will be held in July. Konami has a quirky approach: if we compare their game to FIFA, it’s still cheaper to pick up the Trial Mode and the PES League than buy the full priced EA Sports title.
The Trial Edition is already available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
