The Last Guardian’s Press Copy Is Pure Beauty

Sony always makes sure its exclusives receive the utmost attention, and The Last Guardian is no exception to the rule!

The packaging has a silhouette of the little boy and Trico, but, of course, there’s more to the package than that – opening it up we see a detailed pop-up image, the game, a feather with the name scorched on it, as well as a few postcards, and a folded message from Ueda. All in a numbered package. Only 2456 exist in the world.

Quoting Ueda’s message: „Dear Adventurers, it’s been a long time coming, but I take great pleasure (and relief) in knowing that The Last Guardian is in your hands. When we began work on The Last Guardian, I intended it to take from and build on our experience working on Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, making it something akin to a greatest hits album. Unfortunately, as you know, we ran into a few twists and turns along the way, and the title took longer than anyone expected. Still, just as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are truly unique games, so too is The Last Guardian an experience unlike any other.

As you play, take the time to stop and enjoy the scenery as you follow these unlikely companions on their journey. And you don’t want to miss the ending! The development team and I hope you all have a wonderful time with The Last Guardian. Nothing would make us happier.

Fumito Ueda”

The Last Guardian, from the makers of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. Out on December 6, only on PlayStation 4.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
