Microsoft Launches A New Service: Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft follows Electronic Arts’ footsteps.

EA previously created the EA Access/Origin Access service, which allows you to play any games from a catalog for a monthly fee, sometimes even guaranteeing a bit of early access for some pre-release titles. Xbox Game Pass is going to be something similar.

For ten dollars per month, you can pick and choose any of Xbox One and Xbox 360 backward compatibility games to play without any limitations, including Halo 5: Guardians, PayDay 2: Crimewave Edition, or NBA 2K16. This isn’t streaming, though: you can just download the game to your Xbox One‘s hard drive and play normally.

Xbox Game Pass will launch this Spring, and Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to try the service earlier than non-subscribers.
