Square Enix reminds us of one potentially pleasant release in the middle of the summer.

Final Fantasy XII launched a decade ago, which may be a good reason why Square Enix decided to move the game’s International version over from the PS2 to the PlayStation 4. Fighting for freedom with magic and airships in the sky – if we had to define Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, we’d do it as such.

„Players are transported to the grand world of Ivalice where magic is commonplace, and airships fill the skies. War has engulfed the kingdom of Dalmasca, leaving it in ruin and uncertainty. Princess Ashe, the only surviving heir to the Dalmascan throne, devotes herself to the resistance to liberate her country. Accompanied by Vaan, a young man who lost his family in the war, together these unlikely allies and their companions lead the fight for the freedom of their homeland,” the press release says.

The game is out on July 11, exclusively on PlayStation 4. (JRPG fans, XIV, the MMO, will expand with Stormblood in June!)
