Capcom’s game has good sales, but the company aims higher than the current figures.
The Japanese company’s prediction says that despite Resident Evil 7 was unable to reach four million sales by March 31, the sales performance is hopeful for the game, and they want to reach ten million sales over the course of Resident Evil 7‘s lifetime.
„The lifecycle for games is growing longer, driven by ongoing digital sales; as a result, Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 have each sold more than 7.5 to 10 million units cumulatively (including catalog and re-release sales). As such, we will work to achieve 10 million cumulative lifetime unit sales for Resident Evil 7 as well,” quoting the link above. (We love how they openly admitted re-releases.)
Resident Evil 7 is going to get more DLCs, including Not A Hero, starring Chris Redfield, which got unfortunately delayed to an unknown release date.
