When Will Sonic Mania Launch? [VIDEO]

The retro Sonic game finally received an exact release date.

Sonic Mania can be defined as an „official fan game” – let’s just say that Nintendo doesn’t like this term whatsoever, seeing how they have shut down so many fan projects. On the other hand, SEGA seems to be supportive of the notion, and while Sonic Forces is aimed to be a big title, Sonic Mania is going for that classic 16-bit visuals and vibe.
You can already preorder the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and the release date is now August 15. The last month of the summer is slowly starting to stack up some big titles, it seems.

(Allow us to point out something in the end from the press release: „running at a crisp 60FPS with stunning HD retro-style graphics” – seriously SEGA? Making sixty frames per second as a key sales point? The original SEGA MegaDrive/Genesis titles ran on that pace with no problem, lol.)
