The game’s director finally talked about the difference.
Project CARS 2‘s director, Stephen Viljoen told Trusted Reviews that there will be no parity between the PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox One X when it comes to visuals – one console with edge out the other.
„Obviously we can’t go everything ultra, because on PC you can run it on three 4K monitors, and everything set to absolutely incredible detail, which is simply not possible on [this] generation of consoles. The Xbox One X is a great piece of hardware, and we’re very excited for it, and we’re making the most of it, so when you run the game on it, it will certainly look better than if you’re running it on anything else, other than a high-end PC.”
Although he didn’t say it out front, but he admitted that if you run Project CARS 2 (which will launch on September 22 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC) on the Xbox One X, you’ll find that it looks better than if you played the game on the PlayStation 4 Pro.
