Arkane, creators of Dishonored have “the joy to experiment”

They claim that working with Bethesda Softworks as a publisher gives them enormous freedom.

One of the reasons why Arkane Studios is such a respected and beloved team is because its video games go out of the conventional way. This is demonstrated by his recent work in titles such as Prey or Dishonored and Dishonored 2. Now one of its design heads, Dinga Bakaba, has spoken with the British portal Eurogamer about, precisely, the creative freedom that their distributor provides them at the time of to get it.

“We do what we like … I would love to make video games forever. This is what I really like to do, it’s a passion and I would not do a video game I did not like. So that’s my main reason for dedicating myself to this, “said an enthusiastic Bakaba.

“I know everyone says that working with our publisher is great, but I’m not saying it to please anyone. It’s a good kind of deal we have between Bethesda and Arkane. I mean they bought us to work on this because they liked what we did and they value us in a way that is really good. They always give us a lot of support and it’s great to be in a position that allows us to experiment.”
