The Nintendo Switch has a solid performance.
…except for one country: in the United Kingdom, while it sells more than the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 is still miles ahead of the roughly half-year-old portable console, according to a former MCV journalist. It’s just one country, though…
Bethesda announced that two more games would show up on the Switch. They are Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and DOOM – they will both launch in 2018. The last time we have seen a DOOM game on a Nintendo console, it was Doom 64 on the Nintendo 64, and as a one-time exception, that game wasn’t developed by id Software, but Midway Games. This announcement is a huge surprise! (We had both Doom and Wolfenstein on GBA, but that’s a different story altogether.)
Bethesda also confirmed that the Switch port of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Switch will launch on November 17, the same day as Star Wars: Battlefront II, which is unfortunate. Pete Hines, head of marketing at Bethesda, told US Gamer that there are no plans for mod support on the Switch at the moment.
According to GameSpot, the Switch potpourri expands with old arcade game ports, but they are strictly not Virtual Console. Clu Clu Land, Ice Climber, Pinball, Balloon Fight, Mario Bros. Mind Vs. adaptations for roughly 7 dollars a pop, going by Japanese pricing.
Two more release dates: THQ Nordic announced that Sine Mora EX would launch on September 26, while Nintendo will publish Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on December 1 on the Switch.
