New Harry Potter Games Are Coming; One Of Them Is By The Makers Of Pokémon Go!

Warner and Niantic do not leave the wizard behind!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that they founded a new label, Portkey Games, to release games based on J. K. Rowling’s work (Harry Potter, Legendary Beats). Portkey will launch mobile and console games, featuring new and familiar characters („at different points in their lives”) as well.

The first game already got revealed: its developer is going to be none other than the developers of Pokémon Go, Niantic! The team is working on an augmented reality game called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. According to the press release, it is going to be a similar experience to Pokémon Go – we can participate in adventures, learn spells, find treasures, and fight against „legendary beasts and iconic characters.” More information will be revealed next year.

There hasn’t been enough Potter yet.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
