An apocalypse here, resistance there.
DICE will expand 2016’s Battlefield 1 in several ways with the appearance of the Apocalypse DLC. We have to first mention the new game mode, Air Assault, with World War I dogfights. From the five new maps, two (London Calling, Razor’s Edge) will be „exclusive” to dogfights, while the other three (Passchendaele, Caporetto, River Somme) could be used with other vehicles.
Premium Pass holders (this is the only way to get the DLC – the pass costs 50 bucks on Origin) will get other things with the DLC, too: two new bombers on the Caporetto map (where Austria-Hungary and Germany fought Italy), six new weapons – one of which will be a Rocket Gun for the Assault class.
The Apocalypse DLC will also make the game harder with the appearance of Afflictions. Quoting DICE: „For pro players keen to show their skill in any situation, Afflictions will hamper your soldier in various ways. Activate ‘Mortality’ to lose 200 score for each respawn, or challenge yourself with ‘Paranoia’ and play with the Gas Mask on constantly.”
The DLC will launch in February for the Premium Pass owners.
