Where could Ubisoft‘s franchise head after Egypt?
While Assassin’s Creed Rogue‘s re-release is about to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Ubisoft is planning the future. On Comicbook, the first rumors were all compiled together, so take it all with a grain of salt, but there may be truth behind the paragraphs below.
Assassin’s Creed Origins, which was codenamed Empire, previously was rumored to have Greece as its location. It didn’t happen, as it switched to Egypt, but sources close to Ubisoft claimed that the next game would turn its focus to Egypt. Raphael Lacoste, the series’ art director happened to publish the following photo on Twitter last year:

Ah, would you look at that, a photo taken in Greece! Sure, he may have been just on holiday, but you may never know. Apparently, the game was already in full development in 2017, way before Origins was completed, and Ubisoft plans to launch it in autumn 2019. A French website, Gamergen claims the title is codenamed Assassin’s Creed: Dynasty. (It might change, then.) It would launch on PlayStation 4/Xbox One/PC.
The Autumn of 2019? We have a feeling that this game could be a multi-generation title then, possibly available for the next-gen consoles, too…
