God Eater 3: A Different Developer Confirmed

The third God Eater isn’t developed by Shift (who made the previous episodes)…

Bandai Namco is holding an event in Tokyo, Japan, where God Eater 3‘s early version is being introduced. Here, the publisher announced that the game isn’t being developed by Shift but Marvelous’ First Studio (who also makes Fate/Extella Link, too). It’s not easy to name games from them that are known in the West, but we’ll try: Harvest Moon: A New Beginning (Nintendo 3DS), Harvest Moon: Animal Parade and Tree of Tranquility (Nintendo Wii), Valhalla Knights series (PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita) – that’s all we could name.

The publisher also named the main people behind the development:

  • Series General Director – Hiroshi Yoshimura (Bandai Namco)
  • Series General Producer – Yuusuke Tomizawa (Bandai Namco)
  • Director – Wataru Atsumi (Bandai Namco)
  • Producer – Yuya Tomiyama (Bandai Namco)
  • Development Director – Ittetsu Suzuki (Marvelous)

Suzuki has a bit of effect on the game, and it could be recognized by those who played Soul Sacrifice in the past – he was the development director for that game, too.

God Eater 3 will have a stream on April 30 (or May 1 in the early hours if you are in Europe), and if it has something important, we may get back to this game, which has no release date announced, only the target platforms: PlayStation 4 and PC.
