Something is missing from the new Dead or Alive game – it won’t be the same as the previous titles.

Let’s get through the official talk first: Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced the sixth numbered main Dead or Alive title, which was already expected to be in development after 5: Last Round was abandoned altogether. More information will be revealed on June 11, but we already discovered something.

The trailer and the images all show that female characters were more clothing than before, and their breasts don’t jiggle anymore either. This somewhat softcore sexuality was pretty much a tradition in the franchise (which is why Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 never saw an official Western release…). Even IGN noted this change in their hands-on: „Female characters are depicted in a more natural way, which makes them feel more human and believable than before.”

Dead or Alive 6 will launch in 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Its website can be found here.
