Is FromSoftware’s Obscure Shooter Game Heading To The West?

Well, it looks like Metal Wolf Chaos might be available outside Japan shortly.

This story needs a bit of background information: FromSoftware‘s third-person shooter launched in December 2004 on Xbox, exclusively in Japan. In Metal Wolf Chaos, players could control a fictional President of the United States, whose goal would be to take the control back which he rightfully had.

Indeed, it’s a Japanese Xbox-exclusive title, which isn’t common, especially nowadays. However, Devolver Digital posted on Twitter an image, which you can see below. This logo can be seen on the second image, which means it’s an obvious hint at Metal Wolf Chaos by the publisher who intentionally parodied everybody (including themselves) during their last year’s E3 show.

As the publisher expressed interest in localizing FromSoftware’s game multiple times in January 2016, the developers might have finally accepted their request to make the game available in English.

Devolver‘s E3 show will start at 8 PM Pacific/11 PM Eastern on June 10 (June 11, 5 AM BST/6 AM CEST). They might announce the game there.
