Although this year’s Call of Duty has dropped the campaign mode for the battle royale fad, Zombies did not get affected.

We already knew that Treyarch‘s development would be on a bigger scale than before, as Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII’s Zombies will outright start with IX, Voyage of Despair, and Blood of the Dead. Quoting the official description for the game mode: „Scarlett Rhodes is out to solve her eccentric father’s mysterious disappearance. With the help of three loyal outcasts, she’ll fight waves of the undead and uncover a prized relic wielding an extraordinary power that threatens all of humanity.”

At San Diego Comic-Con, the Zombies mode will receive more information on Thursday, which means we might come back to discuss this year’s Activision moneybag-making game a bit more throughout the weekend.

Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII will launch on October 12 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
