Sony Interactive Entertainment Bend Studio’s game will be the first major PlayStation 4-exclusive next year, and thus, it has the challenge to overcome.
It will launch on the same day as three other AAA titles (Anthem from Electronic Arts/BioWare, Metro Exodus from Deep Silver (THQ Nordic)/4A Games, and Crackdown 3 from Microsoft/Sumo Digital), but there doesn’t seem to be any reason to be worried – judging by the Tokyo Game Show gameplay, it seems to be a good decision that Sony has delayed Days Gone from 2018 to next year. (Also, prepare for Japanese commentary in advance.)
The gameplay – as always – has the focus on our survival, but this time, we don’t see a heavily edited, E3-ready trailer or demo, which means we can now experience Bend’s PlayStation 4-exclusive better than before.
The game will launch on February 22, but seeing how Sony doesn’t tend to delay games after announcing a release date, we can expect Days Gone to be in stores on that Friday.
