After Devil May Cry 5, Capcom announced Resident Evil 2 Remake would also get a slightly more expensive Deluxe Edition on top of the standard version of the game.
The Deluxe Edition, which will cost 70 USD/euros instead of 60, will have the base game, as well as three costumes for Claire (Elza Walker, Military, Noir), two for Leon (Arklay Sheriff, Noir), plus we’ll also get the Albert Model of the Samurai Edge handgun, and the option to swap out the soundtrack to the classic 1998 version. (The black-and-white filter with Leon’s Noir costume feels a little bit like The Evil Within, don’t you think…?) They also revealed the reversible cover – if you want to replace Leon with Claire, you can do so.
Multiple publications have published gameplay videos of Resident Evil 2 Remake (which will have the big alligator, as well as the two secret characters named Hunk and Tofu), featuring Claire. The images also show the reimagined version of the Licker, which we first meet in the RCPD (where a cutscene is also dedicated to it). It’s just as scary as it was two decades ago.
Resident Evil 2 Remake will launch on January 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
