Over the past two weeks, Robin Atkin Downes (voiced by Kazuhira Miller in the Metal Gear series ) and other personalities linked to the work of Hideo Kojima had generated certain expectations among fans of the saga because of several strange publications in Twitter Is Metal Gear Solid VI in production? According to David Hayter (voice of Solid Snake and Naked Snake), no.

With the intention of clarifying the situation, both met in a retransmission  during the past weekend. “I hope there are things to announce […]” says Hayter, also acknowledging his fear that Metal Gear fans would misinterpret his partner’s tweets. “I apologize for any confusion that I have generated about new games and the like, I’d love to [come back as Snake], we’ll see if Konami can make it happen, because they’re the ones with the IP.”

“You know, you can never know what’s on the way … unfortunately, we want to clarify that nothing is planned at this time,” Downes adds. Hayter has represented Snake in many Metal Gear games, but Konami distributed his work in other ways with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain . Since then, he has voiced the character in commercials or in a cameo in Super Bomberman R .
