Warcraft News From BlizzCon [VIDEO]

World of Warcraft Classic, as well as the updated release of Warcraft III,  are the subjects.

Let’s start with Warcraft III Reforged, which Blizzard dubs as the „complete reimagining” of the original Warcraft III that launched in 2002, but in a 4K resolution. Aside from the Battle.net app support, it will also have an updated user interface, multiplayer compatibility with the original version (!), rebalanced gameplay, as well as updated, but still seemingly outdated-looking visuals. Warcraft III Reforged will also have The Frozen Throne expansion as well.

The game will be covered by the December issue of GameInformer in detail, as it will be their cover title. 62 missions, a promise of 40+ hours of gameplay, all in 2019, on PC and Mac. The base version will cost 30 dollars/euros, while the Spoils of War one will be 40 – it adds four heroic units, as well as other bonuses for other Blizzard games. (Is it worth it then?)

Regarding World of Warcraft Classic, Blizzard announced that those who have an active WoW-subscription would get access to Classic for free. Also, we learned that Classic is going to launch in Summer 2019, and if you have a BlizzCon digital ticket, you can try its demo out right now.

There’s also a new video for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth (which is available already) – Lost Honor has King Anduin Wrynn, the leader of the Alliance, talk with Varok Surfgang, an imprisoned orc warrior, seemingly building a partnership between the two. (Alliance-Horde team-up?)

Blizzard has an annual pet that has its profits forwarded to charity. This year, it is Womper, a baby yeti. If you buy him either in-game or as a plushie until December 31, you’ll support Code.org, which helps girls and underrepresented minorities get into programming or STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
