This year’s Call of Duty, which is developed by Infinity Ward – as they did three years ago with Infinite Warfare – might come with an updated version of an older game.
PEGI, the Pan European Game Information board has rated a game on PlayStation 4 called „Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered,” even though Activision has not announced anything whatsoever about this yet. (It’s too late now, and the publishers don’t tend to joke around with things like this!)
It would stay close to the devs, as, in 2007/09/11, they developed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare-trilogy and Infinity Ward is making the 2019 CoD title, too. We have heard rumours about it being possibly Modern Warfare 4, complete with a campaign (they made Ghosts in 2013, then Infinite Warfare in 2016), plus the 2016 Modern Warfare Remastered (which got a standalone release in 2017) was based on their work.
So, history might repeat itself. How much money are you willing to bet to tie Modern Warfare 2 Remastered to possibly Modern Warfare 4 by making you buy the 80 dollar/euro version? Activision did that in 2016…
