The Dead Mage team, based in Iran, has shared in the social networks the judicial notification stating that Children of Morta transgresses Islamic law by showing female characters without hijab, for the absence of praise to God, use magic to fight demons, or even for the representation of dance movements.

“We have been summoned by the Moral Security Police for a complaint related to our Children of Morta video game,” said the Dead Mage team on Twitter. “The next step is to go to court,” adds one of those responsible for the game in a message that shortly after was deleted.

Without further details about the cause and the effects that it will have on Dead Mage, it seems clear that the fact that Children of Morta has been published in Iran has contributed to the authorities of the country become aware of the existence of this fantasy video game that so many praises have received.
