Let’s see what we can play for a monthly subscription fee – Microsoft announced what the Xbox Game Pass is going to get on console and PC.
The Xbox Game Pass is a monthly subscription service – by paying each month, you can access more than a hundred games and play them as much as you like. As long as your subscription is alive, you can play these titles. There’s also the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, combining both its PC and console version with an Xbox Live Gold subscription (which also provides more games on console each month).
Let’s see the console version of the Xbox Game Pass first (so Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X). On February 20, Team Ninja’s and Koei Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden II will be added. The team might want to return to the adventures of Ryu Hayabusa. On February 25, we’ll get three games, namely Kingdom Hearts III, Wasteland Remastered, and Two Point Hospital. Microsoft covered several genres. After Kingdom Hearts III, another big addition follows on February 26 – it’s going to be Yakuza 0. On February 27, Jackbox Party Pack 3 comes for the fans of party games. So there are some new games here, and some of them are made in Japan – it seems Xbox-boss Phil Spencer’s tour in Asia paid off…
Now let’s see what the PC version of the Xbox Game Pass is getting: Yakuza 0, Wasteland Remastered, Reigns: Game of Thrones, Two Point Hospital, and Indivisible. Sure, there are some changes (and fewer games), but the line-up is still fine. (Kingdom Hearts III has no PC port before you ask…)
So Microsoft’s subscription service is alive and kicking – the issue is that if a game is taken off the service, you’ll lose access to that game. Everything has its bad side after all.
