The second episode of The Dark Pictures Anthology is also affected by the coronavirus global pandemic.

Better prepare for this: while the coronavirus is still hugely present in many parts of the world (which is why it’s better to be safe than sorry and sick), the gaming industry has tried to adapt to the situation (on Monday, we wrote about how Electronic Arts quickly moved the office work into working from home scenario). Bandai Namco and the 200-employee Supermassive Games (Until Dawn) did not mess around: about two weeks ago, they announced that they aren’t going to release the game this summer but at a later date. What a shame.

„In Little Hope, abandoned and all alone, four college students and their professor are trapped by a mysterious fog in the isolated eponym town. They search desperately for a means of escape whilst visions from the town’s occult-steeped past haunt them from the shadows. To stay alive, they must uncover the mysteries behind these relentlessly-pursuing dark apparitions before evil forces drag each of their souls to hell!

Players can take the role of each of the five protagonists of this brand-new cast, one of them being represented by Will Poulter. Like the first game, Man of Medan, Little Hope is designed to be replayable with multiple storylines, paths and endings. Each decision will matter and can have repercussions on who survives or meets their demise!”, the game’s description said back in April. It still stands, doesn’t it?

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope has no exact release date at the moment. (The delay announcement on Twitter didn’t have one.) It’s going to arrive this autumn on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The eight-minute gameplay video does beautifully show that Supermassive-touch.
