Bryan Intihar is experiencing harassment from some players and has asked for respect.
This week we knew a new news about the Spider-Man remaster that left no one indifferent. Insomniac Games decided to change the actor who plays Peter Parker in video games and replaced John Bubniak with Ben Jordan, in a purely creative move , according to the studio in a clarification after the announcement.
The change may be more or less pleasant, but what is not acceptable is what is happening to the creative director of Insomniac Games, Bryan Intihar , who has denounced through Twitter that he is receiving threats after this change. The creative has asked for respect and has received the support of many players and important personalities of the industry, such as Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog, a studio that unfortunately also suffered harassment for The Last of Us 2 .
The message Intihar has shared on Twitter reads as follows: “To our Spidey fans: I totally appreciate your passion, but send me threatening notes that say ‘We will hunt you down and find you! Fix this now!’ It’s not cool . With what’s happening in today’s world, let’s be a force for good and be respectful to each other. Thank you. ”
Of course, seeing this type of harassment is not pleasant and we should all respect people much more, even if we do not like some decisions that are made. That kind of toxic community does not bring anything good to the world of video games, as it can be criticized with respect.
