The Activision Blizzard subsidiary promises to provide more details on the games in the coming months.

In the midst of a crisis over harassment, abuse and discrimination against its female employees, Activision Blizzard released its financial report for the second quarter of its fiscal year early this morning. And in it, the company led by Bobby Kotick offers a minor update on the state of development of Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2, the two big projects that the Blizzard subsidiary manages. Just yesterday, Blizzard’s president stepped down in the wake of these cases.

Well, in the press release with the quarterly results, the company talks about Blizzard’s upcoming projects and its current situation. In the case of games like Diablo Immortal, as we have already told you in another news item, the mobile Diablo is delayed to 2022. However, the next numbered game is moving forward in a better way. “Blizzard continues to make great progress with Diablo 4 and are dedicating substantial resources to creating exciting in-game content that will drive interest for multiple years,” reads the report.

Meanwhile, Overwatch 2 is also making good progress, with Blizzard promising to provide numerous details on the game in the coming months. “Overwatch 2 development has passed a major internal milestone in recent weeks,” they say of its development. “After a great response to the recent community update, the team is looking forward to revealing more about the game in the coming months as they approach the final stages of production.”

The latter denotes that Overwatch 2 is nearing the end of development. However, in the case of both the hero shooter and Diablo 4, Activision Blizzard is not releasing a release date for either game or even a release window for either. With Blizzard employees on strike in the wake of harassment cases at the company, and after declaring that they will continue the fight as long as there are no solutions, we’ll see if the company says the same of its developments when this quarter ends.
