MOVIE NEWS – A new adaptation of Interview with the Vampire is coming very soon. The homonymous novel by Anne Riz is already based on the cult film that came out in 1994 starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst and Antonio Banderas.
In this opportunity, AMC will make a series already beginning to confirm a solid cast. A few weeks ago, it was assured that the new Lestat would be Sam Reid. Now it has been announced that the one who will bring Louis de Pointe du Lac to life will be Jacob Anderson.
The series is set to premiere in 2022, although it is known that pandemic conditions could delay filming and post-production. However, the network is already at work, and within days of the news being released, it was already known that it was expanding its cast. Initially titled Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles, the film was directed by Neil Jordan and can be viewed at no extra cost on Amazon Prime Video.
In this adaptation released 27 years ago, the story of Louis de Pointe du Lac, played by Brad Pitt, is shown. This character tells a journalist about his life in the late 18th century, when his mentor Lestat de Lioncourt, played by Tom Cruise, turned him into a vampire after his wife died.
Although the project was unveiled in June, and there is not much-confirmed data, the truth is that the strip will have some eight episodes, and Rolin Jones will be the showrunner. In addition, the author of the novel will be the executive producer. For this reason, the plot should be very similar to that of the film, mainly since both are based on the original book.
So, Jacob Anderson, the actor who could play Greene on the HBO series, Game of Thrones. This is not the only project the actor has on the agenda. He will soon be appearing on Doctor Who, where he will play a new character named Vinder. He will also be acting in Timestalker, a romantic comedy by Alice Lowe.
