Xbox boss Phil Spencer celebrates the success of Playground Games’ new Forza Horizon game.
Officially released just one day ago, Forza Horizon 5 is unstoppable. True, it was available to try out before launch (and produced impressive numbers), but now it’s available on PC and Xbox, and the company was happy to share some details about Playground Games’ new game.
Xbox head Phil Spencer revealed the details on his official Twitter account. The game, already one of the most critically and publicly acclaimed titles of the year, already has more than 4.5 million active players. This number represents users across all platforms, including PC, console and all Xbox Cloud players.
He also said that this is Xbox Game Studios’ biggest launch to date, with the fifth numbered game in the series surpassing the previous record set by Forza Horizon 4. Spencer also took the opportunity to thank gamers for their support, noting how much they have done to make games like this happen.
As a reminder, the game is available now on PC, Xbox X Series X|S and Xbox One and can be played from day one if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
