The actor is joining the Highlander reboot as uncertainty continues over his future at DC

In an interview, Chad Stahelski confirmed that the new version of Highlander (Highlander from 1986 featured Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown in the lead roles, playing immortal beings who hunt each other down to become ever more powerful) will begin production next year, with no date yet set. The director took the opportunity to praise Henry Cavill, who was chosen to replace Christopher Lambert.

“Henry obviously has the physical part, but that doesn’t mean much if you can’t carry the empathy of a man who has lived 500 years, and I needed someone who could do both. The character arc spans a long time, and he has many different personalities, which extend the timeline of his emotional growth,” he explained.”So during our first meeting, my suspicions were confirmed: Henry was immediately immersed in the idea of the burden of immortality, and you could see in his eyes that he can transform from a young, vibrant soul to an old, wise soul,” he concluded. “He had this combination I was fascinated by. The other thing you could see was his genuineness – he really loves the property and loves what he believes he can do with it, and when an actor has that level of passion, you’re going to get something unique. And finally – you’ve met him, you know – after 10 minutes you’re just like: ‘He’s cool, I want to hang out with this guy.”

Highlander appears to still be in its earliest stages of development. However, if they are already working on casting, there is a draft script that everyone is on board with. In the meantime, fans of the actor can look forward to his return in The Witcher and the sequel to Enola Holmes, where he will once again bring the most famous detective in English literature to life.
