Call of Duty: Vanguard Suffers Problems And Unexpected Shutdowns

Sledgehammer has temporarily removed Secrets of the Pacific from Call of Duty: Vanguard

Call of Duty: Vanguard is not having a good 2021. Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Vanguard is off to a poor start in terms of sales figures, and critically, while it offers an enjoyable experience, it has failed to win over gamers. At least not as much as previous games or Call of Duty: Warzone itself.

The studio continues to update the title by implementing various tweaks. Still, this week they have had to deal with unexpected problems following the launch of the ‘Secrets of the Pacific’ event. This event, which also involves the battle royale, is causing several widespread issues, as well as app crashes.

For that reason, Sledgehammer has decided to disable the event in Vanguard until a solution is found. It features some challenges that, when completed, reveal more details about Caldera, the new map for Warzone. If you’ve completed challenges and made progress on the map, don’t worry, because they’ve also confirmed on social media that progress is maintained and will be shown as it was when the event is active again.

Activision’s latest war game arrived earlier this month on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox X Series X|S.
