Dying Light 2 Invites Us Into The Open World With A New Map [VIDEO]

Techland has shared a new episode of Dying 2 Know More

Dying Light 2 is just three months away from its release on PC and consoles, and Techland continues to share information about the sequel, which will bring back the best parkour and zombie action in an open world that will be affected not only narratively but also structurally by our decisions.

In a new episode of Dying 2 Know More, the Stay Human video show on the franchise’s official channel, further details about the sequel have been revealed in an interview with Thomas Gerbaud, Dying Light 2’s world director.

Among the most notable new features is the importance of its open world. We will get information through eavesdropping on conversations, discovering graffiti scattered around the city or collecting secret audiotapes. The methods are not very innovative, but Gerbaud’s words suggest that the whole thing will make The City feel like a living place worth exploring to soak up its lore, which will also expand with the propaganda and subplots we will encounter.

In addition, the different factions will be of paramount importance. Beyond the different territories controlled by the factions, they will directly influence the environments. For example, the Peacekeepers have turned a derelict ship into their base, so while it may look hostile on the outside, there’s a lot of non-military defence-related stuff going on inside that we’ll be able to discover.

Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4, 2022, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, which it will reach thanks to cloud play.
