THEA500 Mini Retro Console Release Date Has Been Announced

THEA500 Mini has gone into production, with a full range of games

 

 

The trend for mini consoles that started with the Nintendo Classic Mini NES in 2016 is here to stay, and many companies are reviving hardware from the past in a nostalgic exercise to reclaim retro video games that continue to offer many hours of fun to their players today.

But it is not only video game consoles that have had their miniature versions, just yesterday, we saw the re-release of the Astro City Mini V, SEGA’s legendary arcade game. In the field of microcomputers, Retro Games already surprised us with Commodore 64 Mini to bring us the new THEA500 Mini, which has already confirmed its release date for March 25, 2022, and the titles that make up its list of 25 games.

These 25 classic Amiga games can be expanded by those who own other original Amiga games via USB stick using THEA500‘s WHDLoad tool. Users will also be able to modify the configuration, driver options and display settings.

The system has features such as an in-game save function, a choice of 50Hz and 60Hz display frequencies, CRT filtering and different scaling options. The company has also confirmed that the mouse and controller will be available separately. As confirmed at the launch, the recommended retail price of the THEA500 will be 129.99 euros.
