As far as we know from the leak, Hood: Outlaws and Legends, Slay the Spire and the new SpongeBob SquarePants game, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, will be available for free for PS4.

It’s almost the end of March, and, as always, when a new month arrives, companies are announcing news regarding console service subscriptions. In the case of PS Plus, this week, we’ll know the free games for April that will replace the March line-up, but Sony has been beaten to the punch again.

Once again, French media outlet Deadlabs has leaked the free games for subscribers to the PlayStation service in April. It’s a regular source, so the official announcement won’t be too far from what we’re told. There are three PS4 and PS5 games available to download from Tuesday 5 April, though they may come with some extra incentives that we’ll know about soon.

The first title chosen is Hood: Outlaws and Legends, coming to PS4 and PS5. Less than a year since its release, Sumo Digital’s game pits two teams of four players against each other, with the goal of stealing treasure in heavily guarded environments in this medieval fantasy world.

The second PS4 pick is Slay the Spire, a popular and much-loved card game for those who have had the chance to get their hands on it. Combining its proposal with roguelike elements, the player has to build a unique deck by choosing from hundreds of cards while encountering strange creatures, discovering relics of immense power and trying to dominate The Ajuja.

Finally, also for PS4 is SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, a project from THQ Nordic that brings back a game of the animated character released in 2003. The title offers a graphical facelift but maintains the original essence of what we could find at the beginning of the new millennium.

Pending an official announcement from PlayStation, it’s worth noting that Sony appears to be preparing to unveil its alternative to Xbox Game Pass, a new service currently known as Spartacus that would eventually merge both PS Plus and PS Now subscriptions.
