Knock at the Shack: The World is in Danger in the New Shyamalan film

MOVIE NEWS – Bestselling author Paul G. Tremblay is proud, who has already won several awards with his horror novels, but one of which has only just been made into a film, and M. Night Syhamalan is the screenwriter and director of Knock at the Shack.

For months, the famous author denied on social media that he had anything to do with the film, but now it’s no longer a secret. In the novel Cabin at the End of the World, published in 2018, two fathers and their adopted daughter rest in an abandoned forest house, where unexpected visitors stumble in. They are faced with a decision, the survival of civilization is at stake.

Tremblay, who wrote the first version of the script, says that by reading the novel, you can of course get some impressions about the film, but no one should draw far-reaching conclusions, because Shyamalan has touched the story and it is expected that there will be a big twist at the end of the film, as is usual for him.

Those who like to look for deeper connections argue that the four visitors may represent the four horsemen of the apocalypse, who we know from the Book of Revelation, and the little girl refers to the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei), who, symbolizing Jesus, takes upon himself the sins of the world.

Those who play newcomers: Dave Bautista (Marvel superhero), Rupert Grint (friend of Harry Potter), Nikki Amuka-Bird (the Time, a character from Shyamalan’s previous film) and Abby Quinn (Hotline). The little girl who seems to be the key to the story, Went, is played by Kristen Cui.
