PlayStation Plus Essential: A PlayStation 5 Launch Title Coming In April

Unsurprisingly, the three games that all PlayStation Plus subscribers can add to their account at no extra cost have been leaked.

First, the three games Sony has planned for next month have been leaked again. The line-up is as follows: Billbil-kun leaks, then Sony confirms the leak. That’s what happened the other day, as the person who has been leaking for almost a year once again announced on Twitter what Sony is planning to give away at the lowest level of PlayStation Plus, Essential, which means that players who subscribe to Extra and Premium will also be able to add these three games to their accounts in April, and can have access to them until their subscription expires. At this point, they will lose access.

It’s not a coincidence that the title includes a PlayStation 5 opening title, as one of the three games is Sackboy: A Big Adventure (however, you might nitpick, as this game was cross-gen, as it also appeared on the PlayStation 4 in November 2020…). The second game is another cross-gen title, following the LittleBigPlanet protagonist; it is Meet Your Maker. It’s a post-apocalyptic building and raiding game where other players design the maps. Interestingly, this third game is also available for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, as Tails of Iron, a hand-drawn RPG adventure, is playable on both console generations.

As a reminder, the three games from March (Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons, and Code Vein) will be available until April 3, after which they will be replaced by Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Meet Your Aker, and Tails of Iron. This trio is available for free with your subscription until May 1.

It’s not a poor lineup, but obviously, Sackboy is the headliner. If Sony had to draw from the opening titles, it would be a big move to throw in the PlayStation 5 exclusive Demon’s Souls Remake. They’re going to do that one day.
