Josh Brolin poses nude for the promotion of Outer Range season 2. Debuting on Prime Video in April 2022, the sci-fi Western centres on the Abbott family. The Abbotts are trying to come to terms with the loss of their daughter-in-law when they discover a mysterious black void on their land. The arrival of a drifter further complicates the situation, Autumn (Imogen Poots), who may know more than she’s letting on.

Brolin, who plays the lead character Royal Abbott, hinted at the arrival of Outer Range season 2 on social media with a nude photo.

The actor, who is also known for his portrayal of Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, mentioned in the caption of the photo that the sci-fi series, which is currently filming, is heading in a “different direction”. How much of that direction might involve nudity remains to be seen. But it’s certainly good to see that Brolin is not parting with his most important piece of clothing – his hat.

Outer Range season 2 was renewed in October 2022. And with a new writer at the helm. Charles Murray, who previously worked on Sons of Anarchy, has taken over from creator Brian Watkins. The cast of Outer Range, which also includes Lili Taylor, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman and Will Patton, concluded Season 1 with a significant development that raises a series of new questions about the mysteries of the series.

The second season has no official release date yet. Speculation is that it will arrive in spring 2024 at the earliest.
