Killers Of The Flower Moon: Leonardo DiCaprio Appeares In An Unusual Role In The Film?!

MOVIE NEWS – Footage from Killers of the Flower Moon screened at CinemaCon reveals DiCaprio as a serial killer hunted by the FBI in his latest collaboration with Scorsese.

Footage from Killers of the Flower Moon reveals Leonardo DiCaprio as a serial killer on the run in Martin Scorsese’s first western. The upcoming film features a stellar cast, including Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone and Brendan Fraser. The story centres on a series of real-life murders that took place in the Osage Nation in the 1920s. Now Apple TV Plus has shared a new snippet from the film exclusively at CinemaCon.

The trailer showcases Scorsese’s impressive reporting, including an appearance from Brendan Fraser, who appears in the film after winning the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Motion Picture for his movie The Whale.

The footage also reveals that DiCaprio will play a serial killer who hunts members of the Osage tribe. Jesse Plemons’ FBI character will go to Oklahoma to investigate a series of murders known as “the reign of terror”.

The first footage of Killers of the Flower Moon, which premiered at CinemaCon, reveals some of the critical details of the incredible true story on which Scorsese’s latest film is based. DiCaprio’s character Ernest Burkhart allegedly murdered Osage’s wife, Mollie and her family members to inherit access to their oil-rich homeland. The Oklahoma murders began to attract attention in Washington. That’s when they sent Plemons’ character Tom White to investigate.

The brutal crimes, which became known as the Reign of Terror, sparked a major FBI investigation, headed by a young J. Edgar Hoover.

Killers of the Flower Moon comes with a running time of 3 hours 26 minutes. This is just three minutes shorter than Scorsese’s last film, The Irishman. There is plenty of time to tell his tragic story properly. Based on the description of the first footage, it sounds like Scorsese’s latest film is a blend of his bread-and-butter gangster genre with a western in a harrowing true story of the conflict between oil-hungry people and the Osage tribe. Scorsese says the film is made to be seen on the big screen, where it will debut this October.
