PlayStation Plus: The Next Free Game Could Be Bigger Than Ever!

It could be that the next free PS5 game from PlayStation Plus will be the best ever…

Earlier this month, Sony announced the complete line-up of PlayStation Plus games for May 2023. The offerings have been a big hit with subscribers. Plus, they’re estimated to save you around £600!

PS Plus May 2023 highlights include Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, described by fans as the best PS5 exclusive. Another game on offer, the puzzler Humanity, which launched through the subscription service, is said to be “a fulfilling, amazing experience”. So it’s safe to say that whatever comes next via PS Plus will surely be a tough act to follow.

Of course, countless PlayStation-exclusive games could rival this challenge, but it could still be a 100% guarantee, even if it’s a first-party exclusive.

However, that hasn’t stopped fans from getting their hopes up. More and more people on Reddit are touting that PS Plus’ next big thing could be perhaps the biggest PlayStation game yet. It’s God of War: Ragnarok! When we talk about games for May 2023, fans are already clamouring for the latest adventures of Kratos and Atreus.

Undoubtedly, it’s only a matter of time before God of War: Ragnarok graces us with its presence on PlayStation Plus. It’s really just a question of when. The game was released on 9 November last year. It wouldn’t be the first time a blockbuster title has appeared on PS Plus after six months. So come on, Sony, don’t delay the release!

As for Ragnarok, it’s a considerable expansion and evolution of the formula established in 2018’s God of War. It offers blistering action, visceral twists and turns and genuinely cinematic boss battles with real emotional weight behind them. It’s a high stakes, high fantasy rollercoaster ride from start to finish and an instant PlayStation classic.
