PS Plus Premium: Classic Games For May Comes With A Nice Surprise!

It looks like the new classic games coming to PS Plus Premium in May 2023 will support trophies at launch.

Classic games coming to PS Plus Premium in May 2023 will launch with trophy support. Titles such as Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light and Pursuit Force will have this feature from day one. Premium users will get additional benefits compared to other tiers. They will have access to selected PS1, PS2 and PSP games at no extra charge.

Many of these titles will support trophies, allowing users to earn trophies for completing various tasks in the game.

New games added to PS Plus Premium in March 2023 will come with trophy support. Both Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Ape Academy 2 offered this feature at launch.

As reported by Push Square, trophies have been added to Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light and Pursuit Force on Exophase. Hours before they were supposed to launch on PS Plus Premium. Fans can earn up to 31 trophies in Pursuit Force. In Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light, players can unlock 28 trophies. This number includes the highly sought-after Platinum Trophy. This is available to players who have earned all the other trophies in these games.

It should be noted that PS Plus Premium users will also be able to play Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow as a classic game in May 2023, but its trophy list has not yet been released at the time of writing.

At the same time, other games in the Syphon Filter series have also received trophy support. So it is likely that Logan’s Shadow will also be released with this feature.

Many games already support this feature at launch. However, Sony may also add trophies to titles already in the service. For example, Sony updated Super Stardust Portable with trophy support earlier this year. Even though the game was released on Premium in June 2022.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members will get a bunch of new games this month as Sony updates its catalogue on May 16.

PS Plus Extra subscribers will be able to play Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, The Evil Within 2, Thymesia, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs: Legion and more for free. Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered has also been added to the catalogue of classics.
