We’re not going to slap around the bushes: there isn’t really much to wait for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5. Sony has published a new video about the upcoming new episode, it is called „THPS is back”. We’d extend the name a little bit: THPS HD is back. Why? Because going by this trailer, there is absolutely nothing new shown off yet again. We only see the same two levels most of the time: the School from THPS2 and the hangar from THPS1. But it’s a new episode, so Robomodo should get something new on the table instead.

No improvements on visuals either: it’s the same old Unreal Engine 3 after HD, which probably means the physics will be way off as well, again. The only interesting improvement will be the addition of multiplayer. But if everything else stays the same (re-releasing HD with little to no changes), then the end will be disappointment. There’s a golden rule: if you can’t make a remake successful, then you stand no chance in making a decent new episode in a series…
