The new game from Ripple Effect (formerly DICE Los Angeles) strives for this, so the studio’s task will not be easy.

In it, we can read that the studio owned by Electronic Arts is looking for a senior 3D artist to create the most realistic and exciting destruction effects in the gaming industry. However, this is just one of the many Battlefield projects!

Let’s consider that Ripple Effect is not the only franchise that used to compete with Call of Duty, but is no longer able to do so today (Battlefield 2042 disappointed). DICE is also working on a multiplayer experience for the series and will co-develop the next single-player story. Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto is also working on this in his own studio, Ridgeline Games. According to Electronic Arts, Ripple Effect is working on a brand new Battlefield experience (no, it’s not called a game, it’s called an EXPERIENCE) that will complement and build upon the franchise’s foundation. The studio previously assisted DICE in the implementation of Battlefield 2042, as the team was still only an auxiliary studio as DICE LA.

In December 2021, Electronic Arts announced that it wanted to create a Battlefield universe with interconnected games with many changes, and this would also affect the development structure of the franchise. (We can already see this in the fact that several studios are working on this IP at the same time). Part of the changes was that the former director of DICE, Oscar Gabrielson, even left Electronic Arts itself. The co-founder of Respawn and Infinity Ward, Vince Zampella, got a new position: he became the boss of the Battlefield franchise, so nothing can be made without his knowledge.

We hope that the new Battlefield games will be able to return to previous successes, because we evaluate the franchise that has existed for more than two decades not only in relation to Battlefield 2042. The IP consists of many more games than that, so it’s better to be fair with it.
