Microsoft has announced the games it will be updating its subscription service with. Fortunately, not many games are leaving this time!
Those Who Remain is now available (console, i.e. Xbox Series, Xbox One; PC, cloud). On January 18th, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank (console, PC, cloud; debuts on Game Pass, so new release) and F1 23 (console, PC; EA Play title, so requires Game Pass Ultimate subscription on console; on PC, PC Game Pass is sufficient). Palworld (console, PC, cloud, new release) arrives on the 19th, followed by Go Mecha Ball (console, PC, cloud, new release) on the 25th, Brotato (console, PC, cloud) on the 30th, Persona 3 Reload (console, PC, cloud, new release) on the 2nd, and Anuchard (console, PC, cloud) on the 6th.
In terms of DLC and updates, the only thing announced by the Redmond-based tech company is that Game Pass subscribers can get Alan Wake in Dead By Daylight at a 10% discount (we wrote about the announcement of this earlier). There are two Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perks that are available now. In Naraka: Bladepoint, you can get the Season 11 bundle (Xbox headgear, rare cosmetic items, three legendary skins, XP boost cards), and in Turbo Golf Racing, Ultimate subscribers get the Pet Pack (Pupps Car Body, Goldie Ball, Guzzle Shield, Knots Spoiler, Treats Wheels, Paws Decal, Fur Finish, and Kibble Boost).
This is usually the time when we write down a list of games that are leaving Xbox Game Pass (this is still an advantage over Sony’s PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium, as they still refuse to list titles leaving the service in detail). However, there is now only one such game that subscribers can buy at a discount to get access to later (true. Microsoft has Internet-connected DRM). Hitman: World of Assassination (console, PC, cloud) is leaving, but this essentially covers the Hitman reboot trilogy, so it’s a three-in-one package.
So this update is mostly focused on indie titles.
