In 2010, Bandai Namco and Capcom has stepped up with an interesting announcement: they decided to clash their fighter franchises together, with both companies making their own interpretation. In 2013, Capcom has released Street Fighter X Tekken, but Bandai Namco still hasn’t shown anything of the Tekken-based Tekken X Street Fighter. About this, the Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada has given an interview to the Japanese Famisu magazine.
„I’ve been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we’re at a pretty far stage into its development. It might seem like we haven’t started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago. And we’ve already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems.” – said Harada. However, it’s very likely that he’s focusing more on Tekken 7, as Capcom does with Street Fighter V. Hopefully, we might see gameplay next year from this 3D game – remember, Street Fighter X Tekken was a two-dimensional fighter!
