Sony Seems To Be Deliberately Ignoring Bloodborne!

Even though From Software’s game was released on PlayStation 4 nine years ago, it seems that Sony and the Japanese studio don’t want to give Bloodborne much attention, but at least the developers have a good excuse with the Elden Ring DLC.

PlayStation Studios has put together a number of great AAA exclusives over the years, and now Sony wants to know who’s favorite is. The company has launched a sort of public voting contest on Twitter with a knockout system. The move is understandable, as it allows for more interaction on the social platform and also allows Sony to gauge which games are in high demand and which titles have been forgotten by the public over the past few years.

But one game seems to have been forgotten by Sony itself. Nowhere on their list is Bloodborne! FromSoftware’s game wasn’t bad (if you look at PS4 exclusives in 2015, Bloodborne was way ahead of The Order: 1886) and the public loved one of the best games in the Souls genre, so it’s completely baffling how they could leave it off their list. It’s fine that there are sixteen games, and it’s fine that almost all of them are in-house developments, but there is one exception.

That exception is Demon’s Souls Remake. This was developed by Bluepoint Games in conjunction with Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio and was one of the launch titles for the PlayStation 5 (and after its success, Bluepoint was acquired by Sony). The Japan studio has since been closed, and Demon’s Souls was originally a FromSoftware game for PlayStation 3. Did they leave it off the list because they didn’t want more than one game from one studio? Or maybe they put it on the list instead of Bloodborne because of the acquisition?

Whatever the answer, the public did not take kindly to Bloodborne being left off the list…
