According to the Hasbro boss, these studios are all built around people and teams “whose DNA is behind the things we do.” Among those studios, he says, “there’s one in Montreal that’s working on a big Dungeons & Dragons-based game.” Ayoub also talks about other licenses: Atomic Arcade, GI Joe, etc. At the same time, he points out that “there are hundreds of people in all these studios who are also actively hiring”.

This shows the expansion in video games announced by the owners of Baldur’s Gate 3, who said that they are working on up to 40 new projects.

Commenting on the success of BG3, he said: “We were very happy with the reception of Baldur’s Gate 3. People want games like this, high quality and things that are true to the franchise. When we make a D&D game, we work with the D&D team. We also want get involved in what they’re planning for future editions and things like that. So the different types of games and the roadmaps that we have are connected to a broader D&D strategy.”
