Aspyr has done an excellent job of bringing the first three Lara Croft stories to modern platforms (something the company failed to do with the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection…), and the studio continues to take care of the games post-launch.

It’s not that simple, though, as there was a slightly confusing change that Aspyr is now removing from Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered. The collection was released in February, and nothing proves its good reception than the 86% user rating on Steam (the percentage of positive user reviews). However, there have been a few odd issues surrounding the collection, and the third patch may fix one of them.

Aspyr first removed the Lara Croft posters from the collection, and now they’re putting them back in. Why did they disappear from the games in the first place? Aspyr explained that there were several texture and graphics updates that inadvertently caused the posters to suddenly disappear. Those textures will be restored after patch number three is installed, so the walls won’t look so blank. However, it is not yet known when Aspyr plans to release the update, as they have not said anything about it yet. It could be relatively soon, as the second update was released shortly after the release of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered.

Tomb Raider 3’s fourth stage, Sleeping With The Fishes, featured the suggestive posters (you can see them below) that Aspyr removed from the collection without mentioning them, even though they were included by default. No wonder some members of the public cried censorship. There have been other oddities in the past: we’ve also written about how the Epic Games Store version seemed nicer and more complete than the Steam version.

At least we can put a full stop to that story, because Lara will be seen in a slightly nude format again. (After all, one of the posters doesn’t show her wearing much clothing…)
